How the Pro Arena works
The Pro Arena is a weekly head-to-head competition for CalledIt FC Pro members. You are matched against a predictor of your own level, your existing predictions decide the result, and divisions promote and relegate every ten rounds.
- You are entered automatically
Every CalledIt FC Pro member is entered in the Pro Arena when they subscribe. There is nothing to join and no entry to remember. You can opt out in settings at any time, and opt back in at the next round.
- You are matched to your level
Each round you are paired with the member in your division whose Prediction IQ is closest to yours. The same opponent will not come round again for at least four rounds where the division is big enough to avoid it.
- Your normal predictions are your score
Your Arena score for a round is the XP you earn from your ordinary predictions on that round’s shared slate. The Arena adds no extra predicting. Higher XP wins the tie and takes three points; a level tie is a draw and one point each.
- Divisions promote and relegate
Arena seasons run in splits of ten rounds. At the end of a split the top of each division is promoted and the bottom relegated, proportional to the size of the division. Nobody is ever removed from the Arena for losing.
- The champion is recorded permanently
Whoever finishes top of Division 1 enters the Arena Hall of Fame, which is public and permanent. The title also appears on their profile as a trophy for as long as the account exists.
What the Arena does not do
Arena results never affect your Prediction IQ, your XP, your coins, your division in any other competition, or any CalledIt FC ranking. Prediction IQ decides who you are matched against; Arena results move the Arena table and nothing else.
This matters because CalledIt FC does not sell competitive advantage. Pro buys depth and access, never a better chance of being right.
